Who is Sam Supreme
Sam Supreme, a Cleveland (OH) native, fuses hip-hop, soulful dance melodies, and punk rock energy into a unique, high-impact sound. She began her career in 2002 as the only female MC in the Cleveland-based trio LMNTL, sharing stages with legends like Sean Paul, Raekwon, GZA, and Pharcyde throughout the Midwest.
In 2015, Sam co-founded the DIY label Fresh By Nature Records, home to hip-hop duo FreshProduce. The group toured across the Midwest and France, earning "Best of Hip-Hop" honors from Cleveland Scene Magazine in 2019 and 2020. With a Kresge Foundation FreshLo grant, Sam launched hip-hop entrepreneurship programs for youth in Central, helping them explore creative and economic opportunities in the arts. This effort led to Fresh Fest Cleveland, an annual festival celebrating arts, music, and urban agriculture.
Sam’s solo career took off with The Miss Tape (2018), followed by I Lost My Hard Drive Twice In One Year (2023), marking her producer debut after a three-year hiatus. A self-funded artist who champions creative ownership, she released Tears & Triumph (2024) as a testament to artistic independence. Embracing platforms like EVEN, Sam Supreme continues to explore ways for independent artists navigating an evolving industry.
